Sunday saw the running of the Hamilton Windscreens Hamilton Open held at Goodwood School around our very own stomping ground out the back of Cambridge.
Fields were strong across all grades this year with some good prize money up for grabs which always helps pull a few out on their bikes. The course was rolling to hilly and in many grades became a select bunch by the end of the race, pair that with the warmer weather, it made for a great day of riding. The Spoken Cycles kit was out in force with a sea of blue in most grades which was awesome to see thank you!
Our very own Alex Heaney the bearded man Boheaney winning A grade with a ride that sounded more like a muscle car than a bike ride! Blake Bailey (Big Fuller) also got the win in the U15 which is awesome to see his hard work paying off before Track Nationals next week.
Lots of racing still coming up in the build up to the The Vantage Age Group Road National Championships being held in the Wairarapa in April, so watch this space.
