It was a special weekend.

Saturday saw the marriage of our one and only Boheaney to the absolute legend GP (Georgia Perry). It was an awesome day and we can't be happier for two of our favourite humans!
Alex, Georgia and their bridal party!
The countdown to K2
K2 is now just 12 days away. This is the hardest one day 'fun ride' in the Southern Hemisphere! Following the cancellation of the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, this is going to be a huge day.
With the country currently at level 2, fingers crossed it buggers off so we can go racing!

For those of you planning on competing in K2 next Saturday.
  • Everybody knows that a clean bike is faster and over the 194km of K2, there is a lot of time that can be saved! The workshop is currently a few days wait, so make sure you are organised and get your bike booked in online.
Book a Service
  • For most, K2 is going to be a looooonnnggg day on your bike. Proper fuelling is vital.
The average time for K2 is about 7 hours on the bike. We recommend taking on 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour. Thats 630 grams over 7 hours.

3 pockets can only hold so much! lucky there will be fuelling stations on course.

So, what can you realistically start with. We tested it.. in our Sportful Jersey we fit:
  • 5 x SIS Isotonic Gels = 110g of Carbohydrates
  • 1 x SIS Ceffeine Gel = 22g of Carbohydrates + 150mg of Caffeine (for the last hour)
  • 1 x SIS Isotonic Gel with added electrolyte = 22g
  • 5 x SIS GO Energy Bars = 130g
  • 2 x Packets of Clif Bloks = 48g
That gives you a total of 332 grams of Carbohydrates in your pockets. If you start with two bottles of GO Electrolyte that is another 72 grams.
One full jersey!
Buy it as a bundle and get 20% off!
Get what is pictured above and a 500g tub of GO Electrolyte (RRP $90) for $72.00. This will prepare you for a long but awesome day on the bike at K2.
Bikes in Schools!
We have been lucky enough to supply many primary schools in the Waikato with bikes for their students. Here is a picture of 30 bikes we sent to Vardon School in Hamilton.
